Recording Fees

We offer e-filing through CSC or SimpliFile, please contact them to find out the cost associated with e-filing.

We also offer escrow accounts.

There is a large variety of instruments that can be recorded. Please contact our office for prices of other instruments that are not listed.

Here are the most common instruments we record:

  • Quit Claim Deeds
    • Please contact the office.
  • Warranty Deeds
    • $5.00 per page ($10 minimum)
    • $3.70 per thousand paid for property
    • $1.00 register fee, if taxes are paid
    • $2.00 data processing
  • Trust Deeds
    • $5.00 per page ($10 minimum)
    • $1.15 per thousand, first $2,000 exempt
    • $1.00 register fee, if taxes are paid
    • $2.00 data processing

Documents may be mailed in to be recorded. Copies of documents can be emailed, faxed, or mailed.

Our records are accessible from our office and online through BIS.

Document Format Requirements

All documents need 3 inches left open at the top or bottom of the page for the recording stamp.

Warranty Deeds

The items listed below must be included in deeds.

  • Back deed references
  • Map and parcel numbers
  • Mailing address of person paying taxes
  • The preparer of the document and address
  • Oath of Consideration with the amount and it must be signed
  • Must be notarized and signature of notary

All other documents must also include the preparer of the document with an address and 3 inches of open space at the top or bottom of the first page for the recording stamp.

FAQs

What restrictions are on my propery?

All properties do not have restrictions. Although, most subdivisions have some restrictions. Restrictions can be determined by looking up the information on the property deed.

Are records accessible online?

Our are accessible from this office and online. 

How many liens are on my property?

You are welcome to search the records in our office or hire an attorney or title company to do your research. We cannot clear the property for you to purchase. 

Can you prepare a deed for me?

No. You must take a new recorded survey and a copy of your former deed to an attorney to have a new deed prepared. After this is finished, please bring it to this office for recording. 

Can a copy of a deed be recorded?

No. All documents must be the original to be recorded.
