Campbell County, Tennessee is in search of a Finance Director who plays a crucial role in the county’s financial wellbeing.

The Finance Director oversees the operation of the department of finance and installs and maintains a purchasing payroll, budgeting, accounting, and cash management system for the county T.C.A. 5-21-107.                                                                                                                   

The Finance Director is appointed by the financial management committee and is considered for all purposes an employee of the county.  Other Tennessee laws regulating finance director are T.C.A 5-21-106 appointment and dismissal, qualifications, compensation. T.C.A 5-21-109 bondable, T.C.A 5-21-107 hiring.

The candidate for Director of Finance should possess

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
• Experience in county accounting or finance with supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or two-year commensurate experience.
• Certifications such as CPA, CGFM, or CMFO preferred but not required
• Have ethical office and business management experience
• Pass drug screen and background check upon hiring
